The Saphir Teinture Francaise is a liquid dye for all smooth leathers, suede, nubuck and velvety leathers. Penetrating formula based on alcohol, can be used as a base coat. Use to change a light colour into a darker one. Before usage, prepare smooth leather with the Saphir Stripper. This is the dye commonly used by patina artists around the world. It is best to use caution when using this dye.
The dye comes with a cotton wick for application. The dye is best applied using an artist brush for an even distribution of the dye. Teinture Française is an alcohol based shoe dye which soaks into the leather immediately. Note that the lightening base isn't actually a colour on it's own but a supplement that can be mixed with other colours to make them lighter.
